Admission Procedure

At K. Nanjappa Gounder College of Education, the admission process is designed to be transparent, merit-based, and student-friendly, ensuring equal opportunities for all eligible candidates. The college follows the rules and regulations prescribed by the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU), Chennai and the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Admission Procedure
- Application forms are made available at the college office and can also be downloaded from the official website.
- Completed applications must be submitted with required enclosures (certificates, mark sheets, ID proof, etc.) before the notified last date.
- Admissions are made strictly on the basis of eligibility, merit, and reservation norms as per government regulations.
- A selection list of candidates will be published on the college notice board/website.
- Selected candidates must confirm their admission by paying the prescribed fees within the stipulated time.
- Orientation sessions are conducted at the beginning of the academic year to guide students about curriculum, campus facilities, and college rules.
Eligibility Criteria
- For B.Ed.
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination. (Relaxation in marks for SC/ST/MBC/DNC/BC and other reserved categories as per Tamil Nadu Government norms).
- Students must choose the optional subject for B.Ed. based on their UG/PG specialization (Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, History, Geography, Computer Science, Commerce, Economics, Social Science).
- For M.Ed.
- A B.Ed. degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in both theory and practical components.
- Candidates must have strong interest in research, teacher education, or higher academic pursuits.
- Admission will be based on merit, reservation norms, and university/Government of Tamil Nadu guidelines.
Important Notes
- Admissions are subject to approval by Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU).
- Reservation of seats will be provided to SC, ST, BC, MBC/DNC, and other categories as per Government norms.
- The college does not collect any capitation fee; all admissions are carried out in a fair and transparent manner.
- Students admitted are expected to abide by the code of conduct, rules, and regulations of the institution.
